One thing I will note is that Omega did not offer an extended warranty to watches bought just before they changed their warranty period (might be US specific issue).
Omega increased the warranty across all their watches to 5 years on 2 November 2018 but this was back-dated so that any watch bought on or after 1 July 2018 also had the warranty increased to 5 years no matter what movement was in the watch.
The Omega website states that "the International warranty" was increased so I don't see that there should be any difference in USA, particularly as the reason for the increase was due to the improvements in manufacturing in Bienne across their whole watch range.
I made a special point of understanding the change as I bought my Moonwatch in October 2018 so the warranty was increased from 2 years to 5 years because the wef date was back-dated to 1 July 2018.
