Uh oh. I think the C8 Vintage PVD just got replaced on my wish list by this:

Sure it's in a different price range, but not by THAT much, and I don't own any Steinharts yet.

And oh my god, it's actually only 44mm!

Nice. Do we pay the 19% in the uk, or are we supposed to pay our vat rate when its delivered?

As far as i know, you're in Europe. So recalculate the Europrice to the Britisch Pound, and your good to go

So € 822 = L 677,46. The other price without VAT, are for the people outside the EU. For example; the Americans.

So if the Euro price without VAT is € 690, Americans and other non-european country's, will pay 875,53 US Dollars.

They should quote the price with VAT included. You dont pay any additional

We pay the 19% VAT, and €15 shipping, but no other duty or tax.

That's right. I made an example in the other post, what Non-Europeans and UK members must pay.
Non -Europeans is without VAT. Europeans including VAT. That's all.

Absolutely gorgeous, but for me it will always be the original nav-b chrono 2 on leather. It's OCD, yes I know.....

In hindsight, if stenhart offer sales like cw, I probably would have bought one. Oh well

It just so happens that I have started the process of making this my first incoming this year. As soon as I saw it I knew it had to happen! Problem with steinhart website at the moment though and they are not ready until the 15th. I have also requested a specific number if possible; will have to wait and see if they can do it.

Nathan, there's a decent chance that I'll be right behind you on that. It looks very nice, and I'm thrilled to see that it's only 44mm. So, for me, it's basically $575 for the C8 Vintage PVD or $875 for the Steinhart Vintage PVD, which is a Valjoux 7750 chrono (I only have 1 chrono in my collection, and it's a quartz), and it would be my first Steinhart as opposed to my 6th CW. I'm getting less warranty with the Steinhart though, so my mind isn't completely made up, but I'm definitely leaning that way.

Don't apologise - i think this is an absolute beauty and although i like the look of the c8 vintage Pvd, this beats it by some distance for me. Now we just need Gunther to sort out his website and phones!

It says in the specs that it's DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) rather than PVD so should wear better than the C8 vintage. I think I might be joining you on the waiting list if I can find some spare pennies down the back of the sofa...
