There is an interesting debate on Amazon forums about Japanese Quartz v Swiss Quartz. It was very interesting with votes for both until it got a little silly and personal. Certainly doesn't appear to be worth spending much more for a swiss over a Japanese quartz.

Haven't seen a U boat in the flesh but TW Steel are priced right for my pocket and I like several of the designs and the link the brand has with sport.

Also like the fact that their watches come in more than one size so you can choose how big you want to go.

TW Steel watches have the crown and cap on the right side of the face whereas U boat have theirs on the left side which is better I suppose if you wear the watch on your right arm.

Good selection with many available on next day delivery by the looks of it. 30 day return policy with a send back if you don't like it.

I see that they have the LE's as well.

Good to see that TW Steel are now advertised on this forum. They can be bought for less though if you shop around. TW Steel UK did not have a sale at Christmas so I would expect it to take place when the new brochure is released in April.

I just bought a TW1 45mm and love it!

Some of the other canteen style looked good, but I thought the dials made the face look a little too busy.

Gutbucket

Good choice, enjoy.

I don't post on here very often now due to my TW Steel purchase. I have a white faced auto and it's not been off my wrist since I bought it. I love the build quality, the movement, never tire of it's looks and so many people want to try it on.

I will seriously consider buying the new 'cool black' model when released. This company goes from strength to strength and has increased it's collection from 4 models to 80 in just 3 years.

TW Steel watches are too heavy to wear AND type, unfortunately :(

Is that a good thing though?

Village

The reason I tend not to post anymore is probably the same as other members like Daz and Cstef to name but 2. I have become tired and bored with the same old tit for tat posting. A new member will say that their watch hasn't arrived and emails to the company go unanswered, the watch when it arrives is a mix of Swiss made and Swiss Movt blah blah blah and this is followed up by a post of "I've got 11 CW watches, they were all delivered in perfect time, I love them, Wera emails me at 2am, I love Wera, isn't she the best, thanks Wera etc etc.

I personally had appalling service from CW and wouldn't and couldn't recommend them because of this, wait for it, someone will be along in a minute to hijack this thread with another CW appreciation which I'm trying to avoid by not posting anymore but you did ask.

I thought when I first ordered from CW that I would be a customer for life but I have discovered in TW Steel a company that lived up to their promises i.e. they delivered an excellent watch in 2 days which I can't fault.

If I have learnt anything by becoming a member of this forum it is that you definitely get what you pay for and it's as simple as that. In future I will pay that bit extra to get a brand that I can trust in both quality and service.

Vista,
I think the reason you moved to TW Steel is the "Miss TW Steel" promotions. Chris Ward doesn't market that way. That's what your paying for now! Ten beauty pagaents each with a prize of $1,500, and a final pagaent for $25,000. That's $40,000 toward hoochies to market this oversized bling. Booyakasha! Respek.
