New to me this week from Kickstarter brand Australis Watch Company, courtesy of a fellow member of the CWE Facebook Group.
A decent, hefty fist of a watch with top notch lume, regulated SW200-1 and hardened coating to the case and bracelet.
Great as a weekend beater especially on a Sunday night from now through to February (notwithstanding I'm a Green Bay Packers fan).

Re: Australis Watch Company - Sea Shade LE
I got one of those from the original KS. The light blue version.
The project took a long while to come through, and the movement wasn't regulated in the end.
Mine was off by about 30secs. I've got it closer with the fine adjustment, but I don't want to catch the spring and damage the watch, so I haven't touched the coarse adjustment, and I can't get it spot on. It came with a nice strap collection though, including the Hokusai Great Wave strap. Did you get all the straps?

^^^^ Cheers, Dave.
Agreed, reading the Kickstarter project details it got severely hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems to be a minor miracle that the watches were eventually delivered.
Whether mine has been played with by one, or both, of it's two previous owners I don't know but timing initially, after a rudimentary check, is spot on
Having given it a partial wind, then set it last night and wearing it this morning, it's currently sitting at + or - <2 sec/day after 12 hours or so. If it continues at this rate I'll be perfectly happy.
As for straps? It came with the pale grey silicone rubber strap (yuck) and light grey with green & blue stripes 2-piece (NATO style?) webbing strap (cool) that it should have.
I also got the Travel Case, but no sign of any Warranty Card or Instructions Manual / Leaflet, which were not passed onto 'GY' whom I bought it from.

Re: Australis Watch Company - Sea Shade LE
Hi Guy.
This is what I received, within a small cardboard box.
This two up faux leather case, a blank warranty card and a cloth. No manual. I think there must have been two extra spring bars as I kept them in the box. I removed 4 links (screw pins) to get to my 7.5inch wrist size. The bracelet has an inbuilt extension system, similar to the one on a Tribus watch. It's user friendly as you don't have to take off the watch to adjust it.
I got the light blue no date, although I don't think the specification showed a black bezel for the blue watch. There were a lot of colours available. It was hard to choose. Your Russell Wilson version looks very attractive.
I can't lay my hand on the straps just at the moment. I posted a picture of the great wave strap about a year ago. If you search for australis you will find it. I haven't worn it.

Here's the straps
A black leather
A light blue rubber, white on the reverse
A two piece NATO
The great wave, which may be leather, but I'm just not sure, although I see it's acquired slight creasing like inexpensive leather .

Re: Australis Watch Company - Sea Shade LE
Well, I've just watched the video for the new JOMW watch release, the Erebus Origin, and to be honest I think it looks quite similar to the Seashade.
So I thought I would be buying a JOMW, but now I don't feel I will. I've got a few weeks to consider, anyway. What do you think, Guy? @Bahnstormer_vRS
I've just added a separate thread about this watch.

The top two straps are similar to the ones I've got, Dave. As I wrote earlier;-

I'm going to disagree with you, Dave. The Erebus Origin is a mish / mash of other designs but the only similarity I can see to the Australis is the rectangular/square 'flag' towards the tip of the seconds hand.JAFO wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 1:31 am Well, I've just watched the video for the new JOMW watch release, the Erebus Origin, and to be honest I think it looks quite similar to the Seashade.

That said, the Erebus is not for me; I'll stick with my Australis Sea Shade as an example of the genre.
