Thanks Des, and I think you're right on the strap choice front.
The initial cream canvas is the OE Hanhart strap, so should be right for the watch. I've not worn it on that as yet as the Medium the watch came with is not long enough for me. I have though got a Long version coming from Hanhart in the Black Forest, due to be delivered by DHL on Wednesday (along with an Olive Green version of the same).
The Brown calf and Green fire-hose are good alternatives and, you've tactically not mentioned it, the Black Flieger strap gives off the wrong vibe.
However, I've tried out one other strap this afternoon; a Schofield dusky pink corduroy strap fitted with a Chr.Ward sports buckle (from a CW high density webbing strap), that sets off the polished red pusher @ 4 really well, to create 'The Pink Panther'.
Seeing how good this is; do I really need those straps from Hanhart?
