Yesterday morning I switched to a Firehose canvas strap, which was really comfortable.

. . .but yesterday evening went over to a Full House Flieger strap which maybe a bit over the top; although I wonder if dark brown maybe a better combination.

I have one other colourful combination to try out and will switch to that tomorrow.

Just looking back over this thread, Guy. I think the first three straps you tried it on all look really good: the initial cream coloured strap; the brown leather and, finally, the green fire hose. It's a really engaging watch and very much your type from seeing your watch choices over the years. What are your early thoughts?

@strapline

Thanks Des, and I think you're right on the strap choice front.

The initial cream canvas is the OE Hanhart strap, so should be right for the watch. I've not worn it on that as yet as the Medium the watch came with is not long enough for me. I have though got a Long version coming from Hanhart in the Black Forest, due to be delivered by DHL on Wednesday (along with an Olive Green version of the same).

The Brown calf and Green fire-hose are good alternatives and, you've tactically not mentioned it, the Black Flieger strap gives off the wrong vibe.

However, I've tried out one other strap this afternoon; a Schofield dusky pink corduroy strap fitted with a Chr.Ward sports buckle (from a CW high density webbing strap), that sets off the polished red pusher @ 4 really well, to create 'The Pink Panther'. :wink: :wink:

Seeing how good this is; do I really need those straps from Hanhart? :-k :-k

@Bahnstormer That's a great pairing, Guy. The Hanhart options you have coming? Well, there's nowt wrong with having a change of shoes. :lol:

^^^^ Change of shoes arrived a day early Des. :wink: :wink:

. . .but first, I have a small squeak from one of the articulated lugs I want to deal with. A tiny drop of 3-in-1 oil is called for (it's the lightest oil I have, other than WD-40).

^^^^ That's the squeaky lugs sorted.

Strap off; tiny drop of 3-in-1 into both sides of each lug; bit of a wiggle; wipe clean with some kitchen roll.

Job done; both lugs now flex smoothly and quietly.

A quick pic of #ThePinkPanther
