Re: What is your favourite non Christopher Ward watch?
In terms of what I don't have but can realistically obtain over time, it would be the Omega PO and (the even more affordable) Yellow Orient Star 300m.
If money were no object I'd look for a Blancpain Fathoms or Rolex DSSD.
I'll have to make do with my Helson Skin Diver until I win the lottery.

Einstein was influential in the development of quantum theory, as was (one of my favourite mathematicians for his matrix mechanics) Dirac, but that's got nothing to do with whether it grew out of relativity theory (the line with which I originally, and still do, take issue). It simply didn't.
And anyway, why are you lot posting about watches? Isn't this thread about grand unified theories?

I really like the Master Collection Moonphase but worry sometimes that the dial looks overly cluttered.

Posted a pic of this one some time ago and had forgotten about it. Was on the IWC (website) forum earlier and saw these pics (thanks Nicky) and it reminded me what a stunner it is - if you like blue that is! It is definitely one I would like to add to the gang.

Re: What is your favourite non Christopher Ward watch?
I've been after two very rare watches for some months now (the Orange CWL C60 and the Brown Benarus Moray II) and its been like trying to find two needles in a haystack! The good news is I found one, and this will be sent to me very soon....
Flipping watches has been relatively easy until recently and I've had to start making some very tough calls, losing my Benarus Sea Devil and Steinhart Aviation GMT were particularly hard. Having just secured the above watch and my C90 I'm now into really painful territory as one of my keepers has to go to fund this. I now have a week off to think on it
Joy and Pain

Even thinking about it gives me a pain......maybe during my week off I'll think up some new way to hide another near £400 purchasehighway62 wrote:I'm guessing the Steiny will be the former 'keeper' to go...

and where do you think its getting delivered to?highway62 wrote:there are always the, getting them delivered to work
It's the big hole in the balance having partially hidden the C90 hole by quickly selling my Sea Devil
the thought of parting with my Ocean 1.....the pain
