is this a current model? Very nice. I had a similiar applied numerals one years ago but it was too big at 44.25mm

I don’t know too much about it, having just randomly spotted it on crown and caliber. Not current, but looks to be less than 10-15 years old. And only 38mm!

This surfaced on my Insta feed today. A gorgeous new 40mm COSC chronograph with 60hr PR.

That’s a beauty! Presumably the same modified 7750 that’s in my Hamilton intra matic chronograph, both being swatch group brands. The Hamilton however not being COSC but retaining the 60hr PR.

I'm not sure it's based around the Valjoux, Alex. The dial; matt black and gold really grabbed my attention. Along with the minute track and tachymetric scale. It's a shame about the rather paltry 30mtrs of water resistance, though. The oblong pushers really elevate the whole thing and tie in with the 40s aesthetic.

The gold really works to give it a vintage warmth, far better than fauxtina lume would have. I’ve always liked Longines, maybe this is the one to finally get one in my collection?

Longines has some of the best deals out there in chronographs. The Big Eye, Master Collection and Heritage are some super great deals even at full retail. That Titanium Big Eye with the blue dial has been in my 'virtual' watch box for a long time.

The titanium/blue big eye was 2nd or 3rd on my list when I splurged on a chronograph last year. I ended up with an Omega, but you’re right, Longines does some really fine watches for the money.

I'm always happy to promote the reposting of AT photos. You're right this is a definite gem in the lineup. But I've never been sold on the rubber strap option.
