is this a current model? Very nice. I had a similiar applied numerals one years ago but it was too big at 44.25mm

I don’t know too much about it, having just randomly spotted it on crown and caliber. Not current, but looks to be less than 10-15 years old. And only 38mm!

You’re right - looks like it’s based on the ETA 2892-A2.strapline wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 7:44 amI'm not sure it's based around the Valjoux, Alex. The dial; matt black and gold really grabbed my attention. Along with the minute track and tachymetric scale. It's a shame about the rather paltry 30mtrs of water resistance, though. The oblong pushers really elevate the whole thing and tie in with the 40s aesthetic.

The gold really works to give it a vintage warmth, far better than fauxtina lume would have. I’ve always liked Longines, maybe this is the one to finally get one in my collection?

Longines has some of the best deals out there in chronographs. The Big Eye, Master Collection and Heritage are some super great deals even at full retail. That Titanium Big Eye with the blue dial has been in my 'virtual' watch box for a long time.ajax87 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 1:49 pmYou’re right - looks like it’s based on the ETA 2892-A2.strapline wrote: ↑Thu Oct 13, 2022 7:44 amI'm not sure it's based around the Valjoux, Alex. Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
The titanium/blue big eye was 2nd or 3rd on my list when I splurged on a chronograph last year. I ended up with an Omega, but you’re right, Longines does some really fine watches for the money.

Fabulous indeed.
I look at the GO site very frequently and have almost pulled the trigger but my will power has been up to the task - just! One of these days it will fail me.

I’ve never posted on this thread before, but today I had to try this on. IMHO Omega are ahead of the game when it comes to their designs and movements.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Actually not as thin as the Malvern 595. Just over 6mm. Not in the Ultimate Concept ballpark.

I'm always happy to promote the reposting of AT photos. You're right this is a definite gem in the lineup. But I've never been sold on the rubber strap option.
