I think this is probably the right thread for these musings. I had to run an errand at lunchtime which took me right next to a lovely watch shop window, so I was checking out the Longines Spirit Zulu Time in the window - the proportions look great up close, so I'm now desperate to try one on... but I really wanted to look a window or two along at their selection of Hamilton's as for a while I've thought I'd love to add a Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical to my collection, specifically this one:

I love the simplicity of this and a nice plain (quality) Nato looks perfect on it (it's one watch where I don't understand why a bracelet is even an option! )

...and they're priced so keenly it's hard to not just jump in...

Mine keeps fantastic time, lasts the advertised three days on a full wind, suits a range of straps and wears really comfortably. Often some decent discounts around on them too.

Anyhow, De Ville Tresor in Sedna Gold with clous de Paris dial. You have to see it in the metal, made me go weak at the knees...

I have the watch already. Just daydreaming about recreating the shot. I’ve only been back from Greece a day and getting Mediterranean withdrawal symptoms. 12 weeks and counting until Christmas in Cyprus!
