It will take some self-restraint from me to not get this new release - Sinn 204 St

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
I am thinking of this watch:
- 42mm steel cushion case
- 22mm short lugs
- Manual wind, 60 hour power reserve with display caseback
- 100 metres water resistant
- Matt black dial, with no date and with seconds in subdial
- Alligator strap
- Brand with history and the 1st watch from this brand that I really like.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
I've just realized that the black version of Nomos Metro doesn't have the power reserve indicator. That's too bad...

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Today I've been mainly changing my mind. So just a normal day, really. I've been swinging between the Nomos Club (of course), and vintage Rolex Precisions.
On the Nomos, I've just found that Nomos can't put a sapphire back onto a 36mm Club anymore.
Serves me right for waiting too long.
On the other hand, I've been looking at vintage Rolex Precisions. My local man has a blue one (which I prefer), but it's around £700 more than a champagney dial one I viewed today at a different shop. Something like this (stolen image):

Still (im)patiently waiting for this one...

Hopefully, it will arrive soon.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Have you had any updates from Iconic? Curious how their process works when they have to order the watch in
Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
For the first week or so, the order had a status of "sourcing" (or something like that). I then received an email to inform me that the status had changed to "on order". So, my assumption is that they found an AD who agreed to order the watch, and the next step will be another status change when the watch is inbound to Iconic, at which point I will have to pay the balance.sproughton wrote:Have you had any updates from Iconic? None necessary as I hadn't mentioned it. Have ordered an Omega SM300 master co-axial, after getting over my aversion to the PCLs. Nice! I tried the blue titanium version a few weeks ago in an airport. It's a great watch, although I convinced myself it was too similar to my PO to justify adding it to my collection - tempting as it was!sproughton wrote:None necessary as I hadn't mentioned it.
