One of these, thinking it would probably work better for me than the last dreaming post a CWC diver
I'm tempted by these, too

Sinn u-50

This is the baby brother to the Sinn u-1 in a more wearable 41mm, fairly slim and only 46mm L2L. It's interesting that you can get the watch with or without full tegmentation which is about another 400 or 500 Euros more. Does anyone have a fully tegmented Sinn (or Damasko?) watch and is it worth the money to make it virtually unscratchable?
Good shout on the Sinn U50 Patrick; perfect for someone looking for an indestructible tool/dive watch that is a touch smaller.

As to the tegimented case; you'll remember, I had a Damasko DK15 (now with @neilj568) the case of which was a tough as expected.

Is it worth the extra 400 or 500 Euros? That's a tough one. In the long term I'd advocate yes, both in terms on the ongoing condition of the watch and also for re-saleability.

However, for you, won't another 41mm diver in your collection be a little greedy and shouldn't you stick with the archetypal 44mm U1, remembering the difference is not just size but also WR (500m vs 1,000m).

They do look a great little watch, I was lucky and picked up one of the new Everests / 1016 homages so I might have to wait a bit more to try for one of these

A limited edition of 250 with the black dial (although I think there was further run of 1000 with the blue dial). 42mm and less than 10mm tall. These are fairly unattainable now, going for well over double RRP now they are sold out.
That Sinn U50 looks great

A brand unknown to me previously, but discovered in this forum yesterday.
I instantly fell in love with this version of the Glycine Airman.

Having resigned myself to the fact that divers don't work for me after trying a few including a very cheap sub homage I'm going back to looking at these

I've owned the both versions of the 36mm club but would go for the light dial this time as it would fit better in the slimed down collection. I've got a few years to save and plan first

Guy, yes of course remember the lovely DK15. It would be a tough call on the tegmentation, be extra careful when wearing or lash out the extra money and be as rough as you like.

If I do go for a Sinn, it would definitely be the u50, the u1's extra WR wouldn't really be a factor, I think 500 WR would be "adequate" as Rolls Royce used to quote when asked for the horsepower rating of their cars.

Having just splashed out on some new golf clubs, which arrived today, I think I'll put the Sinn slightly on the backburner for the moment.
