Quite correct Des, the EB bug bites again.strapline wrote:![]()

So, Guy, the EB bug has returned to bite you! You're going for the bronze (PVD) Holton. No need for lemon juice and a toothbrush where that is concerned. Has the Lympstone limped off in you affections? Either way, I will look forward to the photos which ever way you choose to go.
Des

Bronze PVD Holton is coming in to join my Gunmetal and Steel versions.
The C60 Lympstone? Not quite got the right vibes for it at the moment. Not so much as limped off, as on the back burner.
In the meantime, a photo of the Holton Automatic from EB's Facebook page;-

I can probably rustle up the £800, sadly not the rest of the RRP!

It’s been a very long time since I bought a Tag Heuer, in fact it was pre-Tag so I must be getting old.
In recent years their Carrera chronograph models have been rather naff in my opinion; over large skeletonised zombie-thwackers aimed at yuppies.
However, things are improving. The new Carrera chrono is very nice, I like it a lot.

42mm dia. and about 14mm thick with a true in-house movement and 80 hr. power reserve; as opposed to the Seiko derived movements they’ve used ‘till recently.

^ Agree with you re. this model of Carrera.Looks a great shade of blue and not too thick.
Maybe 1 for me in a couple of years as a pre-owned.

One of these, thinking it would probably work better for me than the last dreaming post a CWC diver

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
A couple that have caught my eye of late:
Sinn u-50
This is the baby brother to the Sinn u-1 in a more wearable 41mm, fairly slim and only 46mm L2L. It's interesting that you can get the watch with or without full tegmentation which is about another 400 or 500 Euros more. Does anyone have a fully tegmented Sinn (or Damasko?) watch and is it worth the money to make it virtually unscratchable?
Breitling Superocean Heritage 57 LE Rainbow
A limited edition of 250 with the black dial (although I think there was further run of 1000 with the blue dial). 42mm and less than 10mm tall. These are fairly unattainable now, going for well over double RRP now they are sold out.
