Thanks Guy, that looks very nice. Actually, I did have another one that is tempting me, but I'm not sure it's out yet:

I tried this on last year Steve.
If I had the money at the time it would have come home with me.

Yes, it's a lovely looking watch. Just worried about whether it wears a little too tall (what did you think?) and I'm not yet fully convinced about the centre seconds hand. I also haven't yet found one in the flesh to try on - but I'll keep looking!

I didn't find it too tall.
Beautiful watch without a doubt.
Could have got it for €1800 Euro in Fuerteventura.

Tried one on recently. Supremely well made, the bezel is an aquired taste (the platinum has an odd sheen!), wears extremely small for a 40mm (wifey tried on the smaller one (not sure of the case size of the smaller one) and it really was weeny! - she is still quite tempted to get one)

100m Water resist is a bit strange, and to be honest, there are many other models that provide better value.

Bloody gorgeous though! :)

Not tried that but by a weird coincidence I was just hovering over the buy now on tha Alpha Watch homage of this.
In the end I resisted the urge.
So much month left, so little money and all that. Priority is a working car, not a pretty watch (well this month).

Yes. Loved the fit, the dial and the bezel - but not the price!

Are we playing Spot the Difference? Which of the four pictures of a Rolex is the odd one out? :problem:

Ah good point Steve! Would you like a picture of a different Rolex or a Van der Klaauw?

Oh, I think a vdK.

The answer was #1, as the other three are in consecutive quotes!

So everyone can only stoke their imagination to think of Rolex. All we need do now is argue pointlessly like spoilt children and we can rename ourselves TZ-UK
