Both great choices Patrick but the Po at 39.5mm does seem very appealing. Due to the thickness of the PO range the 42 and up just seem to wear massively. this could be just so

They are very nice Patrick; I’m considering buying one of these once I finally complete the second half of my move (next month!). Hopefully I’ll be able to flog off a few lesser worn watches to pick up the funds for one of these; although I’m unsure as to whether I want the blue or the black...

The 39.5 uses a different version of the 8x00 movement Paul - it makes do with a single barrel instead of two, but still passes Omega’s stricter-than-COSC timing requirements. The big thing is - that change results in a slimmer movement and the 39.5 is almost 2mm thinner than the admittedly less than svelte 43.5. It’s a gnat’s whisker over 14mm, so the profile is much more in keeping with the smaller diameter... almost identical in fact to that of the original 2500 PO.

Thanks for the info on the watch Gary. I need to get round to going into an Omega AD to try one out.

I have yet to own or even be very tempted to buy a modern Omega, I had a couple of vintage models but even trying on Speedy Moonwatch didn’t quite hit the spot. I do like the Speedy Tuesday but missed the boat there now prices are a bit silly.

The PO though does have a lot of appeal so who knows.
