Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
I’m not sure to be honest. With it saying availability on request I’m presuming they source to order rather than having watches in stock. If that’s the case maybe they have relationships with AD’s to source watches and can sell ‘ex VAT’. I’m only guessing though. If they are grey market it wouldn’t bother me anyway. I have a couple of greymarket watches with no issues.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Here's the same watch using the .co.uk site ...
https://www.chrono24.co.uk/omega/seamas ... 027883.htm
The seller is in Germany, so it wouldn't be subject to VAT. It's worth asking the question about whether they're an AD.
Whilst I wouldn't mind purchasing other watches grey market, I'd want Omega's 5-year warranty on this
^^^ I only say this as the Master Co-Axials have to be serviced/worked on by Omega due to parts not being released IIRC.
It's not as though your independent could sort potential issues out as is the case with stock movement watches. Please correct me if I'm wrong here.

That company is a grey market dealer but you should still be supplied with an AD sourced watch and a stamped warranty card.
The price quoted on chrono24 will include VAT within the EU so you don't have to worry about any VAT/duty (for now, Brexit may alter that of course).

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

I'm in love since having a local look. The AD won't discount heavily though, being a big name chain in Reading, so looking at other options.

Monaco based grey market dealer, seemingly based in an apartment? What could possibly go wrong....
Apart from potentially striking while the GBP is still worth something away from our shores

Of course, this is the CW C60 GMT bronze, the watch I’m hoping to get soon.

I bought my first Smiths from TF in November and have been pleased with the quality.

A different model to the 36mm Everest, but thread here for info.

I recognise this company and they sell through Chrono24 (with good reviews) and you get the benefit of buyer protection by doing it that way. The price I believe is essentially the same price 5,286 Euros delivered (direct) vs £4,789 delivered (via Chrono24).jtc wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 7:45 pm

Just been looking at the 36mm and 40mm. As you say very tempting for £320 and £330 - has anybody bought 1 in either size for recommendations?neil8fletcher3 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 7:40 pm Just seen that there's a 36mm version of this. Tempting

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
I agree it's a great looking watch but a few buyers have returned because of the size of the clasp being rather large, especially on the 36mm model. I think a new slimmer clasp version is in the pipeline, it may be worth you taking a look at the thread over on tzukMikkei4 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 9:52 pmJust been looking at the 36mm and 40mm. Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Thanks for the info. Much appreciated. Have looked at that and the clasp is way outof proportion and just looks silly.Arbor22 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 14, 2019 10:47 pmI agree it's a great looking watch but a few buyers have returned because of the size of the clasp being rather large, especially on the 36mm model.
