The Zenith is gorgeous, though 4th in my line of blue dialled beauties after the Overseas, RO and Laureato.

I’d love to see all 4 together! :D

^^^^^ Well I don’t have pics that are all the blue dial of the species, but I have tried them all on over the past couple of years.
Overseas - two different models/sizes.

Royal Oak - white/silver in both 37mm and 41mm.

GP - two sizes.

I think that realistically, there is no way I would get a current model overseas, or a RO, as far too expensive. My preference would be an old previous generation Overseas, with a bit of luck could probably get one for about the cost of a SubC.

I did really like the GP when I tried it on, with the 38mm being a spot on size for me. However I think on balance I would pick the Zenith, it felt the best on the wrist of any of them, the titanium making it different. It is also the cheapest!

They do look good. The AP in 37mm might just pip the GP but the cost is a bit heavy! I don't know the price of the Ti zenith but think the laureato just has a bit more oomph with the dial texture. As I say, all very nice!

The RRP of the Zenith is £5.5k, compared with £8.1k for the GP, albeit both are brands where reasonable discounts should be available.

Turns out the Zenith is 41mm, not the 40mm the AD mentioned to me. However the way the lugs meet the bracelet means it definitely feels a better fit. Ideal perhaps would be the Zenith, with the GP dial.

Well ideal would be the AP, but that’s not going to happen.

And you should Neil:

1) worn and wound have called it the new skx, until now the mini turtle has led a relative life of silence and is kind of overlooked due to its price i think

2) Hodinkee have jusy put that $*#*ing awful Hodinkee Tax on any second hand skx013 sale by writing an article on it.....which should have actually been about the mini turtle (imo)
Might keep the skx and look at saving for a sinn 566a or a damasko da 46. Or keep saving and go for a Tudor bb58 or a north flag

I think that if I was in the market for another watch, this would be top of the list.

Neil
Yes it is lovely but I went for the Skeleton version. Wears so light and slim you hardly notice you have it on. The skeleton dial makes it jump out a little and the bracelet is gorgeous.

Yeah agreed...all lovely
Particularly fond of TUDOR as a brand but already have a Heritage BBR so next on the list would be a BREMONT (Airco Mach 1 / 2; SOLO PW-R; S501; S301; ALT1-C White-Black;...so many lovely watches) for my "Made in Britain" collection :D

Okay ... I'm not dreaming about this, but stumbled upon the Nodus Contrail yesterday evening and thought it'd make a rather decent all-rounder.

39mm (47mm L-L), screw-down crown, 200m, Miyota 9015 auto (reg. 4 positions), box sapphire. $575 maybe a little high, but it also looks decently finished.
Polished areas have been kept to a minimum and I'm a big fan of the the sunburst brushing on the bezel.

Link to Nodus site for those interested ... Nodus Contrail 39

edit - added a picture of the black model as well
