With my 50th coming along in a few years it is now time to start saving for the "one watch" I want something I can wear anywhere, anytime, probably not a dive watch, I have plenty enough choice with my CW's, a Moonwatch is in the mix but at the moment I am seriously considering a Santos
Image
The Santos is really pushing the buttons, I remember seeing the Cartier Tank and Santos watches in the window of a jewelers as a child and they have always caught my eye ever since, I need to visit an AD and get a real sense of the size and feel but its becoming an itch!!

It's the ultimate 'one watch'.
It's a steel sports watch - so tough enough for every day wear.
Yet, it's high quality, superbly finished horology.
Classier than a Rolex as a status symbol, while flying under the radar sufficiently to avoid shouting 'look at me'.

Perfection in a watch.

Thanks for the education but I still don't like it so will have to find another status symbol.

Very close to selling a couple and buying one of these, but no sapphire, no ceramic bezel and the pin/collar bracelet.

I'm 4 years and 7 months from a big birthday. I've already started window shopping online... I think this suits the budget and brand longevity, plus with the quick set would be quite the collection addition.

Ooh, like that. Is that a SBDX017? Good size, if so.

Yes 44mm and £1564 (gulp) from Chrono24 which seems to be a good price.
I have a new in box Seiko Shogun and Oris Aquis 43 which would need to go - not 100% sure and sods law if I buy this, my Sea Dweller will arrive at the AD!

Just hate pin & collar and would prefer screwed links, especially at this price point.
