Looking for a Xmas present to myself, I quite like the Ball & Frederique Constant versions of this which are more complicated but waaaaay more expensive, so they are out. Just need to find one similar to the C8 that's priced somewhere between this and the Ball / FC.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:
Good alternative to the C9 WT P'type (which IIRC your wife now has).
Prefer the steel case myself, too.

It's a fantastic watch - I had one for a few days and only returned it for typographical matters of which we should not speak.

Thinking about trading out my C11 vintage for a Stowa Klassik 40. Thoughts?

I generally hate the 9 o'clock company name (i refuse to call it a logo) but the blank space at 12 created by the new branding is a far bigger sin in my opinion.jtc wrote:It's a fantastic watch - I had one for a few days and only returned it for typographical matters of which we should not speak.
So this watch is a pleasant surprise as the big applied 12 fills the role an actual logo would normally perform and makes that watch looks fantastic. Now if they'd only make it in a version for "man child" wrists like mine.

Likewise, that's the only reason I've not ordered it (& for that matter a bronze C60) this afternoon.jtc wrote: It's a fantastic watch - I had one for a few days and only returned it for typographical matters of which we should not speak.

The link is fine, but try and buy an automatic and you'll get a message saying you can't buy. T&C's don't state UK as part of the campaign.
We have family in France, but too much hassle so I won't be bothering although the AL-525DBRNS5AQ6 with the blue dial is lovely and comes with an E-Strap (no idea).

If you use gmail, you can append +alpina to your email address. That'll then show you who they sell your marketing info to (and let you block it in the future). For example johnsmith+alpina@gmail.comDISJT wrote:Thats a very underhanded way to get you to sign up to their mailing list.
