The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Not today, scooter. Mainly went to compare the Hirsch Pure with the Bremont rubber strap as I plan to take my S300 as my single watch on our upcoming holiday in a few weeks - but got a bit sidetracked by the Tudor.
I am still keen to find out more about the green bezel BB posted earlier by DM. Looks like a special edition for Harrods or something??

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
I dismissed these when they first came out, but I like the idea of a 12 o'clock minute chrono, plus it's a wobbler

There are parts of the dial that leave me cold in the renders, but wrist shots make it look better. 40mm is a good size for such a chunk too.
In fact, are there any other similarly priced chronos that only have a 30 minute counter? It strikes me as quite a useful simplification.

As a previous Ball lover (4 purchases) I haven't seen one I might fall for since until now:

Great spec and size.

A Navitimer 806 (1960s) like the one below. I've hankered after one of these before, a work colleague has one and was wearing it in a meeting yesterday. They ain't cheap though, c. £3500 for a decent one.

I love the vintage Navitimers. Still relatively affordable, but prices seem to be rising.

As the lovely women is already talking about the holiday after the holiday after the next one, the Breitling Navitimer or Tag Monaco may be a while off...so realistically it may be one of these

This may very well be my next watch. Tried it on recently and the subtle differences (sapphire crystal, smaller case, different hand set, applied logo) make the Speedmaster “First Omega in Space” much more preferable to me than the standard Speedy pro.
Now just waiting for one to show up at a reasonable price.

Might be, but sadly no Patrick; although the bezel is more than chunky enough to deal with being adjusted when immersed in a vat of slippery jelly.Thegreyman wrote:Is this another Kylie reference?!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Can't get this out of my head.

It's the Marathon Pilot Chronograph (CSAR) which I have long had a desire to own.
A 7750 powered version of the Jumbo Diver I used to own, which I sold as part of the consolidation to get my C60 Trident Chrono P'type, and have missed ever since.
Got the opportunity to pick one up but am stumbling over what to sell to fund it. Might have to be the Trident Chrono P'type and one other; about the only way to balance funds and collection.

It is a fine watch and I'm sure you'll find a home for quite easily.
