I know he's got a couple thought he might be a good sounding board on their merits,

No more pictures of this watch, please, Blowfish! :D

But actually, I don't need the Mondphase and Panoramadatum description on the dial. This comes close to "superlative chronometer that goes very deep into the sea without the bezel falling off..."

I have been exploring the GO website and I must say, so many exquisite watches. I must buy one glashutte original watch in the future. Makes my grail list for the smart dress watch, but I don't know which one.

Aside question, is the panomaticlunar dial design based on Lange 1 ? Is it sort of a copy? Which one came first?

An educated guess: A. Lange first used this design, but they add "Doppelfederhaus" (also not really necessary, just like "Slimline"). Therefore, I'd always take the Saxonia or the 1815 instead :D.
Another bad design (d)effect is that the dial is hidden underneath the sleeve :D.

Don't get me wrong here, I love how the watch looks!

Ok, I also want one !

The PML has a very nice displayback with the hand engraving which I love. Shame they don't do it on all their watches, especially the senator sixties and seventies which have lovely dials but comparatively ordinary looking displaybacks.

For instance, such a lovely dial, this is probably the only non-round watch i love but I won't buy this because the movement/displayback is not very special -

when compared to a PML movement -

Do GO have handwound movements like this ?Image

And I (re)discovered the 1815 chrono yesterday, what a lovely watch (and a not-so-lovely price :) )Image

Indeed!!! A "kleine Habring", i.e. the 36mm version has been on my list for years, but without a "foudroyante" second hand. That's what Quartz watches are good at and I don't need this complication. I'm in a curmudgeonly mood today...

^ that GO is beautiful, maybe the best looking in the world for me is the Lange 1 and so the GO "pano" watches are pretty gorgeous. Think i prefer a power reserve though:
