Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
yep me too, i chop and change about what Rolex I would like to aim for but pretty much always come back to the GMT. It is the right size and proportions, less common than a sub, thinner lugs (slightly) than a sub, real history and a genuine Rolex innovation in the travellers GMT movement. Bezel has to be bicolour in my book, by the time I can afford something like this there will probably be other combos in steel, blue black looks great though.Jon_Birch wrote: SNAP. Only thing i'd change is the PCLs, and I probably would get them brushed.

you'll have seen that watchfinder have a chance to win a pre-owned explorer ii 16570 by entering your details in a draw (and expanding their mailing list).
i have no problem with expanding their mailing list, so i'm dreaming of nothing but an explorer ii until march
(it's my birthday in march

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
a couple of small influxes of cash (clearing out of an old band's checking account, CC rewards check) have me thinking about finding a steinhart vintage GMT.

would have to be second hand, since they're out of stock until june.

I keep entering those Watchfinder draws, but never seem to win. I must be getting close.missF wrote:you'll have seen that watchfinder have a chance to win a pre-owned explorer ii 16570 by entering your details in a draw (and expanding their mailing list).

^^ ah well, perhaps this time's yours and next time's mine.....
but i'd really like an explorer ii - if it's something else next time could we come to some sort of agreement??

The guy who bought my Sinn 358 is selling it again, and struggling to move it. He's reduced the price quite a bit, and it's beginning to look very attractive... and I do kind of miss it..

I'll take part trades, but would like to pocket at least £1000. Something toolish, 41-43mm, from Fortis, Tutima, Damasko, or maybe Glycine might tempt me.
