Withdraw that comment sir! :)

His liking of the 16570 is probably the most sensible thing he has ever said!

You know I speak the truth. There is a touch of the Archie's there! :)

The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread

There are a few Dan Henry owners on the forum, myself among them. The consensus seems to be that for an excellent price you get a very good watch. Admittedly, some of their models are a very close homage to a few classic watches, but there are some original designs as well. I own two, the 1970 which I like a great deal and the 1963 which I love.

The newest one above is not really to my tastes either, but it's garnered some good reviews. I recall the 1970 has a Japanese Miyota automatic, I can't remember which move r is in the 1963, but it's quartz. I'm pretty sure they're assembled in China, but IIRC they ship from the US.

Dan Henry is apparently an avid collector, I believe his watches can be seen here:

I saw that, some of which is also available on the DH website - but who is he? I can't find a thing about him apart from that he is / was an avid watch collector and a chevy chase lookalike pic on the DH site. I get very suspicious when there is such a lack of information about the 'owner' - just look at the CW and Bremont sites by way of comparison. But I'd be happy to be pointed in the right direction of anything I have missed, I only looked at google. With Avi-8 I checked Company house and other records.

The Dan Henry 1963 with it's Myota 6S20 Quartz movement. It's rather descent quality in my opinion.
