Fortunately for me I prefered the looks of the Citizen, and the lume is excellent (different model). The only 9F GS with lume is the antimagnetic afaik.
So it was an easier choice to go for a Citizen.

Perpetual calendar really is worth having

The opening line sums up my thoughts and I'm not sure which way to go. One thing I like about both is the brand, both are very under the radar unless you know watches you'd just think oh it's a seiko/citizen.

I know it's not all the citizen range but I wish this one had a black date wheel to match the dial

Which would make you happier wearing? You can buy for tech all day long (not that theirs really any on show here that hasn't been around for the past ten years) but it's the look and feel that count. The citizen is just a citizen. The Seiko is a Grand Seiko. Say it with me 'Grand Seiko'.....mmmmm yeah sounds good doesn't it. feels good too.

The champagne dial GS takes 12 steps/layers to make. The hands are class, lume? What's the point. It'll only degrade and flake about the place when it gets older.

Wish they wouldn't even put Citizen on the dial. How nice does 'Chronomaster' sound in comparison. The brand name kills it dead.

Don't buy for tech because there isn't any (are you really going to ever use an independent hour hand on a dress watch? Perpetual calendar? It only shows the date so who cares really?)

Buy what makes you feel good because at the end of the day your only going to worry about scratching their flawless shine anyways rather than think about what's going on inside.

Not a road I want to go down. The box is full with almost no room for maneuver , ive sold most of my expensive watches and kept the cheap ones. One watch at 35, one at 40.

A plan I will struggle to keep to.
