A 42mm speedy wears 42mm imo. I've been wearing a lot of smaller watches lately and was surprised how big the speedy pro felt after I'd left it in the box for a while.neil8fletcher3 wrote:I'll have to try both on if I get to the point of getting onejtc wrote:I think a 42mm speedy wears quite small, I'd bet a 38mm reduced must be tiny!

Yep. Quite agree with this sentiment. I'm still liking the Tudor Pelagos Blue but I must be coming down with something ...

Hmm, the very nice young man at my local watch shop (five hours drive away) has just sent me details of the new BBR with inhouse movement. And the pvd version, too......
Wasn't looking for a watch.
But.

Not sure about this one, not sure about all Planet Oceans with the 8500 movement. They're too thick. I want to buy the current Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, any thoughts on it? I'm also thinking about the Speedmaster Sapphire Sandwich. Two totally different, I have to go check them out soon.rgb wrote:New Planet Ocean 600 M Omega Co-axial Master CHRONOMETER GMT 45.5 mm DEEP BLACK

How thick is that one TM? Omega's designs are becoming rather sickly to me.tempusmaximus wrote:The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph Titanium .

I'm guessing the orange bit on the bezel is more of their rubber inserts? I like the look of it, but like DM I'm guessing it'll be way too thick for my tastes.tempusmaximus wrote:The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Chronograph Titanium .

If it's less than 18mm thick it shows a way forward for Omega but I bet it isn't.

Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Thanks Bernie...
It's amazing what you can get away with in titanium. The standard Planet Ocean in stainless is a solid and quite hefty lump on the wrist, but the titanium version is a comparative and relative featherweight. The almost 16mm of thickness is really not particularly noticeable - and that's coming from someone with a decided preference for a slimmer watch.
I'd be interested to try one of these on. I have little doubt I'd never buy one, but I'd be very interested to compare the titanium version with the stainless one just of sheer curiosity...
