I could swap the Sub for this one. but I won't

You probably shouldn't Tried these on a couple of times, lovely, lovely, lovey, but the lugs are quite long without much of a downward curve and the watch is thick, so it sits quite high on the wrist. Need to try one on leather maybe... I'll stick with the 60's styled NOS 300.

So, I have to basically accept the fact that I can't do better than my Sub in any case.

Well, the springdrive Tuna there in the SOTR (state-of-the-recon) list (i never set alerts or emails though), along with a turquoise Doxa - and there is a nice 1989 Apollo XI Speedy on sale too. However, I'm enjoying watching the market now, and not buying anything

Creation stock seiko sard range which are similar, they have a black face sard014 on leather. Couldn't see this exact model though.

I spent a lovely day in Munich today and had a great time at Wempe and Bucherer... So I had the chance to try on some beautiful watches, more specifically Reversos in different sizes. The bottom line is that the regular and small Duoface doesn't fit as well as the larger Ultra Thin Duoface, so the blue Tribute Duoface will not be an option for the future as it has the same dimensions as the small version.

The ones that fit best are the Reverso Tribute to 1931 and the Ultra Thin versions:



The white gold version is stunning in the flesh and I love the blued hands... Sadly it's white gold and not steel.

The Ultra Thin with the black indices currently is number one on the wish list (old picture):



But then I had the chance to wear two versions of the Lange Saxonia, the automatic 38mm version and the 35mm handwound:





Wow, I think that I'm in love with an A. Lange & Söhne, i.e. the smaller version.

After having tried on the different Reversos and the Saxonias I also found two Nomos Neomatiks that are really difficult to get hold of. I even found the new Minimatik, but after the JLCs and the A. Lange, Nomos suddenly has lost its appeal. I didn't even take a picture of the Minimatik on my wrist as, surprisingly, I didn't like it in the flesh. The golden spots and the rather playful red hands just didn't seem right. I think I need more meds...

Certainly the best Rolex make. Outside of something £10k+ this is the watch i would most love to own.
