Seems okay to me
I think a no-date is the best solution.

Yeah. Too far from the outer edge. I admit it looks "less bad" on the Miramar version due to the red inner circle. On the regular version the date is floating in space.blowfish89 wrote:Too far inside?downer wrote:^^^ The date window position is FUBAR!

And, yeah, no date is the way to go.

The new 40mm mark blah blah date placement looks even worse. I don't see the appeal of iwc these days at their prices.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

I like the look of the new 36mm Mark XVIII pilot, particularly the grey one. And it's going for $3950, which for some WIS definition of "reasonable," seems okay to me.Dancematt wrote:

But what do you honestly get for that? You used to get more upmarket movements from IWC in the 90s. No silicon hairsprings or anything special? meh.Peteo wrote:I like the look of the new 36mm Mark XVIII pilot, particularly the grey one. Re: The "what watch are you day dreaming about now" thread
Oh sure. I'm not claiming that it's an amazing value or anything. Just saying that I like it. And I think that for a brand that seemed obsessed with making their pilots as big as possible with more and more added bling and other nonsense on the dial, this is a welcome turn about in the other direction for a price that's not eye-popping.Dancematt wrote:
