Yeah. Too far from the outer edge. I admit it looks "less bad" on the Miramar version due to the red inner circle. On the regular version the date is floating in space.

And, yeah, no date is the way to go.

I like the look of the new 36mm Mark XVIII pilot, particularly the grey one. And it's going for $3950, which for some WIS definition of "reasonable," seems okay to me.

Oh sure. I'm not claiming that it's an amazing value or anything. Just saying that I like it. And I think that for a brand that seemed obsessed with making their pilots as big as possible with more and more added bling and other nonsense on the dial, this is a welcome turn about in the other direction for a price that's not eye-popping.
