Finally a decent size dress watch.

(Yeah, yeah, I know, you lot will be howling that it is horrible, ugly and too big, but I have wookie arms. :D )

Now just need to make my appointment....... But it does mean that this will have to wait a bit longer....

Image

Need to decide if it is worth pushing the BP back for. :(

Advice welcome!

Thanks Neil. You ain't helping!!!! :)

The Steinhart website tracker says my Steiny BP homage beater arrives tomorrow and I will then see how it holds up and whether I get on with it. If I does, I have already made enquiries with a particular AD about which model I need!!! :)

Ask Peter (Tickathree) or Zermatt: they might know. If you are a member of 'Secret Sales' they often appear at 50% discount.

Ah good man Steve. Now when I drag poor wifey out to the IWC AD, I can say that I am on a mission from God, Blues Brothers style. She can't possibly complain at that! :)

If the lottery win were to drop in, it would be a platinum Lange 1 time Zone ... just because it has so much (date, power reserve, second time zone, day/night) going on!

Image

Are there any other watches, maybe ones that are a bit more affordable, that have the novelty of a "digital" (jump) hour and minute repeater like another AL&S?

Found out how to placate wifey!!! Get one for her too!

Going to see the 'Father and Son set' tomorrow that the AD have got in for me. I am just hoping that the "sons" one (39) is not too big for her.

However, if it is, the sons is also available in 42mm so I could in theory wear both!!!! :)

Also need to see how the Rhodium dial look in the flesh.

I think that this may be an "either/or" deal! :(

I can see the Memsahibs good will extending to owning both dial colours! (And if it did, I would then he having a squinty poo at the perpetual calendar BP!!!)

It does look good doesn't it. I will find out tomorrow whether the set the AD has includes the 42 or 39 "sons" model to go with the 46mm father. I forgot to ask!
