Even though I am (still) waiting on my Sinn 103 Blue, I still can't stop thinking about the EZM 13.



Greg and I are going to the Washington DC Watchbuys Road Show this Saturday, and I really am looking forward to trying this one on. I can't articulate why I've been so drawn to this one... So many little details are not my cup of tea, but somehow, overall, the watch just feels so spot on. There's some small part of me that hopes that it's going to be disappointing in the metal because I am going to have a hard time justifying why I should buy 2 Sinn watches in as many months.

Maybe I need different meds.

Only two downsides that I can see - the classic "RR" seconds-hand counter-balance seems incongruous on this dial and there is some daft script (relating to NECC) on the caseback sapphire.

The bezel and the dial seem like an odd coupling to me. It feels like they took a dress watch dial and stuck a honker of a bezel on it. I am a big Ball watch supporter, but, personally, I think there are better options out there for white dial, dark bezel.

I think you could be right. I have cooled a little on this one, as there are few niggling details. Maybe a few real life shots will convince me one way or the other. Meanwhile, please tell me about the best options for white dial/dark bezel. I have been hunting for ages!

^Except the proprietary strap system, I don't think you can beat the IWC Aquatimer 2000 3568.
A SH21 Trident isn't so bad either.

Keep trying to convince myself about the 3568, but having tried it a couple of times, I really know it's a touch too big. As for the SH21 Trident, I like everything about it except one thing.

It's a 90% hit, but the sub-dial hands are a little off-putting. There's a couple of other LE's that lol ok, and of course, the new snoopy...

I am not convinced about them either, but it would be amusing to see the reaction if deciding to wear it with the red outer case!

i'm debating a sinn UX. good price on a 2012 model on rubber right now. will have to see if it lasts til saturday when i try one on again.
