The Panzera Breuer B44-02 Arctic

Post by tempusmaximus »

The Panzera Breuer is a great choice for anyone looking for a watch with a strong bauhaus identity . A review from Watchpaper.com

Great find Bernie

Finally a decent sized "Bauhaus"/dress watch.

Have looked up the stockists and am going to have a shufti at

This.....

And this

300 quid seems pretty reasonable, although I would have preferred sapphire!.

You know what I'm going to say...nice but way too big for me at 44mm and my 40mm max rule.

Hands up if you think this looks faintly ridiculous on that particular wrist...

Well yeah, it looks a touch large on a twig wrist, but that is what Nomos is for! :)

This is the Nomos for the Gorillas.

I know that I seem to harp on about this, but it is more than just wrist size. Height etc has a huge impact on the size requirement.

I have an 8.75 wrist, but could still wear a 38mm or so on that size wrist. (Depending on shape etc)

However at 6ft 6, a 38mm case looks absolutely tiny on me. Hence my love for the bigger cases!

These are all factors that need to be taken into consideration!

I cannot see past the pathetically lost date window. The poor thing looks all forlorn, stranded in an oversized dial. This style of watch has fast become the most overdone style and I don't think anyone has done it as well as Junghans. This is a poor addition to the growing list of Bauhaus influenced pieces.

So much wrong with this watch. The size is ridiculous for a bauhuas design. So much empty white space. The date window is pointless, and the triangle and two dots has no business being anywhere near this watch. Finally the exhibition back showcasing what may be the ugliest movement ever created.

Bernie, thank you for posting this.
It is very 'clean' and the price is attractive.
BUT for me it would always feel a nearlyNomos.

Hi Bernie,

I bought this watch a couple of weeks ago with the black face and I absolutely love it. I also have pretty small wrist but I really like the 44mm size. Have been wanting a larger size (+42mm) auto bauhaus style watch for sometime and finally I found one I like! I think there is also a 47mm chronograph but that's too big for me. The dial is clean and minimalist keeping with the traditional bauhaus design, and there is a nice deep blue hue from the dial on some angles, most likely from the coating on the glass. Funny I have been getting more compliments with this watch than some of my other pieces which I spent 10 times as much... Overall very happy with this piece!

Any piccy wiccys? I have decided that actually the date does not bother me and would love to see the black in the wild!

I like this, but at 44mm a bit too big for me as a dress watch. Still, tempting at the price
