I posted this in another thread, but I'll put it here as well.

The Mad Watch Collector described a Casio illuminator (it has a particular backlight) as a great bargain, at 12.99 in Argos instead of 16.99. They have just reappeared at this price, and I have ordered one.

I succumbed and tested this out #-o picking up a piece and getting 50% off (40% sale price + extra10) :D
Hmm. Thanks for that I think. ;D. Now I'm considering spending rather a lot of pennies.
Some decent prices in amongst the sale with the 10% on top

I'm never sure what goes on with Ali X prices. Anyway, I saw an listing for FKM tropic straps for under 80p each, plus postage.

I already have several in 20 or 22mm, so I added 7 to my basket, to complete a full set of colours in both sizes. It turned out that the 77p applied only to the first one, and presumably because I'd bought so many, I didn't even get one at 77p. However they charged under £3.00 for each one, so including VAT it ended up being about £23 for 7 straps. That's less than half the price other AliX sellers are asking, and ones already in the UK are even dearer on eBay.

I think the seller was called Langley.

Just an update on these. They came today and they are ok, but not quite the same as the tropic straps of the type sold by watch gecko. Slightly different colours, and slightly different feel I think. Ok for £3 each though. There seem to be other vendors with these prices now. The yellow is more banana than lemon for instance.

I quite like the look of some of Magrette’s kiwi offerings and this looks like a half-decent deal. Thoughts…?

That’s a good deal. The MPP Ti is $848 alone, so you’re getting the Belmoto for $100. I’ve had 3 Magrette watches, and they are great - large though. The Ti brings down the weight considerably and makes the 44mm case very wearable.

Those of us in the UK / Europe will need to add VAT.

^^^^ There was quite a bit of love for Magrette watches on the forum a few years back, which has dwindled recently.

I've owned several but sold them on with the evolution of my collection. I would not be averse to getting one in the future.

A pretty good deal for the two on offer; just need to factor in 20% VAT.

Thanks @ajax87. It appears to work one time per sale on the cheapest item in the basket, but that’s still really nice.
