These are very classy and understated, and personally I think they're the best value for money overall for new fliegers. A few months ago I added a top/blue/date/sterile/engraved one to my Icarus, and I wear it quite a bit now as a more formal watch when I don't want to wear anything too expensive. Much as I love my IWC Mark XII it just feels too small for me these days, so I shall be selling it.

I use the new flieger on their nice Milanese mesh bracelet, which is excellent.

I got the new one on a light brown alligator strap, which I now use with the Icarus. This combination I think is stylish and more casual: unfortunately the stitching began to unravel a couple of days after it arrived - not great, but they sorted it immediately with a couriered replacement.
Regards,
Mark

It's landed a month early! Received the tracking e mail from FedEx yesterday morning, had great fun tracking it across Europe to Stanstead, and then agonising wait until 11.30 when it arrived. Brilliant service I have to say. Hoping these quick iPhone photos will work, it's not my strong point!

Anyway, it's the TOP movement with blued screws, with the old logo, which I'm pleased about. The strap is their mid brown croc.

I'm very pleased indeed.

Looks great I am thinking of getting the Ikarus with top movement and blue screws myself. They must have got the orders in before time as my Partitio which was due in June was ready in May. I didn't really want it for May so a couple of e-mails to Stowa and they said they would hold if for me until early June.

Really nice people to deal with and that's a cracking looking watch you have there, well done.

I second the nice people motion. Like CW their service has to be top notch to take the worry out of the distance purchase. I'd happily buy from either company again....

Congratulations. You have got yourself a cracker of a watch there. Plus Stowa were one of the original six Fliger manufacturers so got a proper one and not just a homage from so many other brands.

Stowa are a great company as well.

Thanks chaps, it's a very comfortable wear and is well sized for my wrist. I've also just noticed the blueing effect different lighting conditions has on the hands, they really do change colour!

It's not a watch I'd normally wear to work but I think I'll make an exception tomorrow!

A couple of photos trying to show how the hands take on a different colour depending on the light.
