I've always liked the look of the Steinhart gold rotor, this one being only slightly different from my Racetimers, but the 'engine turning' (for lack of the proper horological term) is the real standout...very attractive and a treat to ogle! I've only set it once but this A10 movement has a very smooth wind with no backlash in the minute hand when setting, so it was easy to align the minute hand to the second...something I always do but can be a real time consuming pain on some of my watches. So far it appears to be about +5/day which I could happily live with. (-5/day, not so much!).
the blue lume is also very nice and really stands out brightly when charged, but it does seem to be short lived.

Steihart Titanium Ocean 500m
Hi All,
I am new on here but am soaking up all the great watch talk. I have a Citizen Eco Drive Chrono with Ti case. I bought it over 2 years ago and it gets regular wear in rotation. The case has no visible scratches on it. The metal does have a grey tone to it that is in contrast to the polished steel bezel. And it wears light compared to similar watches of this size. I believe (but don't recall exactly) that I have read elsewhere that the titanium is harder than most SS and weighs less by volume.
This Steinhart is a stunner. I like the move away from the Sub homage. I still have concerns about ending up with a mismatch between bezel and indices and cannot understand why some names cannot get this QC problem fixed.

Re: Steinhart Titanium Ocean 500m
wonder how long it will be until these start hitting the secondary market? one of my biggest "future purchase" maxims from this point forward is not buying brand new unless there's a specific/special reason to.

Mines arrived yesterday, nice watch but I'm just not feeling it....totally undecided
Might just appear on the selling forum soon! ....trip to Florida pending, might just treat myself to something different in the outlets...

Are you able to put your finger on why?stobievulture wrote:Mines arrived yesterday, nice watch but I'm just not feeling it....totally undecided

My 'concern' is it'll be too light, compared to a steel case/bracelet?

Light is good as it invariably means major comfort too !
Fluffy cuddly kittens and little puppy dogs.......????
Re: Steinhart Titanium Ocean 500m
At 140g (according to Steinhart website), it's pretty much a middleweight watch.MadJam250 wrote:

There are a few comparatives in this thread.

its a cracking watch, it really is, but i thought I'd try the darker Ti bracelet and case as its different from what i usually like, i never wear leather straps, always just stainless bracelets...just thought i'd try a change...not bonding with it tbh
also away to,Florida soon on holiday, might sell to fund a watch over there, might take advantage of the outlets there
aye so its probably a bit dark and a bit light for me

Re: Steinhart Titanium Ocean 500m
Frankly, I was a bit when I opened the box and saw how dark the ti was, but it grew on me rather quickly
