Definitely looks a lot more like the Pepsi globe than any of those flags:

But the Pepsi logo is red on top and blue on bottom. :? So it is actually an "upside down old logo Pepsi watch"? Or.. "old logo Pepsi watch with bezel turned 180 degrees from standard position". See, that's where I got confused.

Next time I'll read one of these incoherent forum posts without any punctuation, capatalization and pictures, I'll make sure to examine an unrelated company logo and try to figure out what is going on.

Shouldn't be any confusion, it's easy enough to understand. Poetic license, it's a catchy nickname that's all.

Hardly unrelated logo, seems your only one who cannot figure what's going on :D

Either you're over-thinking it, or you're just deliberately arguing the point for the sake of it?

Whether you agree with it/like it or not, the watch world as a whole refers to this type of bezel as a 'Pepsi' and the black over red as a 'Coke' as they are reminiscent of those logos/colour schemes, with little need to explain it, so it clearly makes sense to many, many people.

Pepsi bezel you say? How ridiculous to use an expression that has been in common use, to describe a blue/red bezel, for over 50 years....... :)

Yes, correct. Just making a rather boring thread about a replica/fake watch a bit more interesting.

One of the later versions (ref 16760) was often referred to as the Sophia Loren! :)

Are you trying to say Steinharts are fake, wow, you do take liberties.

You should watch out for libel suits, or do you want to start another pointless argument?

Exposing blatant copies of other designs and trying to get away with it by calling it a hommage is never pointless.

Backing down?, you were first to mention the word "fake", now suddenly you mention "homage" (spelt correctly). However, I'm sick of your comments. So, whatever, you can now have last word. I'm finished on this thread. Enjoy your can of Pepsi later.
