I quite liked the mesh on the prototypes. I thought this was going to be an immediate purchase for me. In the end, it's not. I'm going to have to think about it and see what other bracelet combinations come along with time. It's not like this will be a limited edition so there's no rush.

Well, I'm just about to hit the purchase window for my birthday watch and much as I hate to admit it, this has ousted the C60 from the top spot. I'm starting to like the blue, but the Omega will cater for that once it's running again.

Lovely, been waiting for the ocean2, still prefer the blacksea version though.

My wife's friends have a standing joke that she naturally gravitated towards anything teal in a shop, yet she doesn't like the blue. I guess that settles it on the white lume. I'm told (!) I can pull the trigger at the weekend. Chances of me changing my mind before then? Quite high.

I'm liking this a lot. Even more than my Blue FLE 2012. Might consider trading the trident for this when the bracelet version comes out. It's the tiny details such as the date window, extra level of case polish (brushed and polished, like the speedmaster) and the cool bezel that pushes me over the edge. Still want to see how it looks with the official bracelet, though. There is a hint of Aquatimer in this, but there is no shame in that, definitely better than the Ocean One series!

Ditto, that's a great looking piece of kit. Love the date window. Perhaps I ought to get it to celebrate it nearly being April?

Steinharts's website says that that the Ocean 2 is 43mm in diameter.. the largest watch for my relatively small wrists is probably 42mm. My next watch is probably going to be a C5 (torn between the cream face, which I love, but I am not so in love with the look and cost of the gold plating).

It is a pretty good looking watch though, all things considered :).

Kind regards,
Steven

Lucky you! Now the website is saying "available soon again" and "can be preordered online!" - just as well I'm not in a hurry. Might just have to place a preorder at the weekend and hope they're delivering again by the beginning of May. Pictures required in the meantime!

I don't remember what it said when I ordered, I just took a look at the photos and stabbed at the "add to basket" button at the bottom of the page.

Might need to clear some room for this. Need to wait to see real life pictures though.
