I just measured it. It is indeed 14.4 mm from case back to crystal. In fact, one of the things that struck me when wearing it is that it appeared tall.footycrazy wrote:Thats lovely Mr Rick,
I have been looking at this for last 2 days thinking shall i or not. I think i am almost there now.
Just curious, is it actually 14mm thick or is that a web mistake (hoping)

Absolutely, I agree. It's the same case as my Nav-B Chrono II.highway62 wrote:But it is a lovely case...of course I am biased!

It's a nicer watch than i thought, great pictures.
The Pictures on the Steinhart site, doesn't do that watch any right.

Great, nice looking watch. Until you actually get one in your hands and wear it, you don't realise how much presence they have.
Cheers,
Jack.

I am intending to buy either that Steinhart or the Stowa MO. Your pics have me leaning way toward the Steinhart now.
That is a great looking piece for sure. They did a nice job with movement decoration.

A great looker! Congratulation Mr. Rick. I have always considered the Marine Chronometer a must for any watch collection (well not in mine yet...). Now what have you in mind strap wise to go with this beauty

Re: Steinhart Marine, Roman Chronometer Arrives
Very nice, Mr Rick.
I've been reading up on Unitas handwound movements, and am disappointed that the current ones are all so big and the watches they come in, so huge.
How I wish I had been interested in watches in 2002 and known about the Stowa limited edition Marine watch with the smaller Unitas 6425 movement (no longer made, I think) when it came out!

I note that the thread that I've linked to above even makes mention of a Stowa ladies' Marine watch. Sigh.
