Even though its not released yet, I just got an email offering me one for €850.......ouch!

Did a google to remind me just how nice it is, and found these:

As much as I like it, I'd never go that high.

How about a white face vintage GMTinstead?

Circa £700 sounds strongly priced Redd but it is a LE, GMT and it looks fantastic. Those prototype shots make it look way better than the mock-ups on the Steinhart website. The ceramic bezel is slimmer than the pictures and the piece marks a departure from the usual Steinhart offer.

I think that white faced GMT looks bland and anaemic. Black hands would be an improvement but then I guess Steinhart would be critisised for reproducing the new Rolex Exp II.

Think I need to clarify.....

The offer is from a member of the Russian watch forum that these are being made for. The real price is around €390 - a bargain

Ah. That paints a slightly different picture. Still looks great though.

So...a member of the Russian watch forum for whom it's being made has offered you the 'reservation' effectively for a mark up of 460 euros.
That sort of thing really annoys me....somebody on that forum who wanted to get one of those hasn't been able to,yet this joker is trying to make in excess of 100% profit.
Personally i would ask him why he doesn't put it back into the pot for those who really want it.

As far as the watch itself is concerned,i don't dislike it but i wouldn't buy it...i do like the case back though :)
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....

I like the Black Sea GMT. It really does look quite original.

Cheers,
