That blue one is gorgeous!
The watches I wear most have what I call "Happiness Factor". Basically, wearing it improves my mood.
My gold Omega has it in spades, so does my Enicar, and so, oddly, does my Orient Mako. I'm pretty sure this one is going to be very HF-positive! :D
I worked out that I don't like a lot of the bigger modern watches because I find them aggressive...hard concept to explain, but I think you'll know what I mean. :problem:
Maybe it's the case shape or the dial layout, but I find the Dynamics totally non-aggressive! :D

I agree, mainly bigger cased watches have far less appeal for me than smaller counterparts but overall vintage watches do feel so much sweeter to own and enjoy.
I miss all the great things that may never be.

Nice acquisition AVO. Best thing I did was get mine serviced and a new strap. Tomorrow night being gym night for me, I won't be putting it on (not too keen on it rattling about in my bag), but it will get a wear on Tuesday in honour of your find.

I hope your Dynamic enjoyed its day out, FT! Apart from in the shower and washing up, mine hasn't been off the wrist since Saturday...guess I like it! :D

Yeah...was out of the house this morning with the Ocean Two on before I remembered. If I wind and set it tonight and stick the O2 in the box I won't make the same mistake tomorrow!

Job done, but for one fleeting moment I considered wearing my C3 tomorrow instead. Maybe on Friday - I'll give the Dynamic a couple of days out of the box.

A question...do you hand-wind it or use a winder if you're not wearing it? I haven't had an Omega auto before...thinking about the ETA/Sellita movements which apparently are not too keen on being hand-wound?
As I've been wearing this one constantly I haven't had chance to find out yet. :problem:

Mine isn't an auto, so no choice but to wind. I'm pretty careful as it's easy to pull the stem clean out.

Before my wife nicked it,it was either on my wrist or the winder. Kept perfect time.
She then broke the strap and scratched the glass.
I took the watch back to the guy I bought it from, gave him a bracelet to fit and await his magic powers and its return.
A certain lady will not be wearing it again...

Well, I've had the Dynamic two weeks and it's back with the watchmaker! Not a problem though, really.
I absolutely love it and have worn it almost every day, so I was able to work out it was losing 40 sec/day. Not a huge drift for a vintage, but I rang the chap.
"That's far too much", he said. "Bring it in and I'll adjust it for you over a week. I'd be happier with a small plus, but not that much."
So I'll just have to give the others a wear...I'll get over it! Great service though! :D

He sounds like a good man. It just goes to show you the difference between the timing machine and the real world.

He is indeed, Kip.
He also serviced my mum's old watches. Happy to say that the Avia has been running for 2 weeks and still pointing resolutely to the right minute! The Rotary was gaining over a minute a day, but he's given it a couple of tweaks and it, too, is now very accurate.
He's on my list for a bottle of single malt at Christmas! :D

Very happy to have it back, and I will monitor its timekeeping. I asked him to check the serial numbers, so confirmed it's a 565 cal. from 1971.
