loving that Partitio!
I miss all the great things that may never be.
Re: Seven Stowas (warning - lots of photos!)
Yep - had my eye on the Partitio since Stowa announced the cream version earlier this summer. The option of having it with the handwinding movement was the icing on the cake!Dancematt wrote:loving that Partitio!

Nice watches and nice photos.
Depending on the FLE, I think a Stowa Marine Original with Roman numerals will be my next watch.

Lovely watches, the marine auto is my favourite.
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

Ditto. Would have loved to have seen a hand wind in black though similar to the Max Bill offering. Stowa have their with a sapphire glass the Max Bill is (Granted more traditional) Plastic. Only drawback for me is the size of the watch itself. At 36 thats pretty small for me.
Re: Seven Stowas (warning - lots of photos!)
Might be worth asking if they will fit the handwind movement in the black face version - after all that is what they did for my fliegers despite the handwind movement not even being an option on the website.robert75 wrote:schticy wrote:Yep - had my eye on the Partitio since Stowa announced the cream version earlier this summer. As for the sizing, it's similar to a C5 - if you find that small you'll probably think the same of the partitio. I put mine on a fairly thick (ostrich) strap which I think helps bulk up smaller size watches a bit.

That is an amazing collection of stowas, I have my eye on one later in the year, currently I really like the Ikarus and the marine date models

Just for you! Here's a couple of shots of my handwound Ikarus:-Macca wrote:That is an amazing collection of stowas, I have my eye on one later in the year, currently I really like the Ikarus and the marine date models
It's a cracking watch - less casual than the standard flieger models - I'm probably going to try it on a non-flieger style strap and see how it works with a suit so I can wear it during the week too.
Cheers, Schticy

Some great photography but this topic is causing me to doubt my decision to buy a Kemmner !
I think there is some real quality and value to be had with German watches and the smaller size of the Stowa would suit my smaller wrist.
Back to the web for more research I guess.

Re: Seven Stowas (warning - lots of photos!)
The Stowa flieger is worth the extra IMO - the brushed finish on the case is really well done, and the heat blued hands are something special. Plus Stowa is great to deal with as a company and is willing to customise orders - eg different crown / caseback etc. Only issue is the waiting time ... but Downer has put his COSC special edition up for sale right now in the sales forumAndyshall wrote:Some great photography but this topic is causing me to doubt my decision to buy a Kemmner !

Re: Seven Stowas (warning - lots of photos!)
Thanks for the info. Schticy, I am edging back towards the Stowa and really wish I could afford the one Downer has for sale.
Re: Seven Stowas (warning - lots of photos!)
Wow! Love the watch, I don't think I am bothered myself about buying a handwind but lovely all the same, thanks for that though!schticy wrote:Just for you!
