I was reading a superb review here: http://www.ablogtowatch.com/grand-seiko ... ch-review/ and having an issue with the over size pushers looked up the other model
Number given for a spring drive chrono. Wow I'm glad I did! Super rare, but what an improvement! To my eye anyway.

I've tried regulating a few Seiko's and it's nigh on impossible. A hairline touch in one direction and it's losing 5 seconds every few hours. A smidgeon in the other direction and it's now fast by the same amount. The ETA's are much more reasonable.

I will have to get a suitable picture of my SKX007, which I wear daily. I had it beadblasted soon after purchase by MotorCity Watch Works.
As for regulation, I did mine myself and the accuracy is astounding.

I have never measured it, however... is there a recommended procedure one can do himself, without instruments?

Got a couple. Love em all!

Planning on another though!

(Actually, I have just realised that I have another monster that I have not worn for yonks and never photographed. I shall rectify this when I get home. )

I've owned four over the years. The first was an only child for 10yrs then the replacement was an only child for the next 11 yrs and the third was lonely for the next 10yrs. I stood my last one down from daily wear when I bought my first Trident. I still use it when cycling as I'm the least worried about damaging this one. They've all been totally reliable and the only reason that the first two were replaced was because their integrated bracelets broke. (and they looked tatty).

Recently bought one of these SSC013P1 SSC013 as I wanted a white dial watch but something different to the CW C60 white dial/black bezel - please CW do a white dial/blue bezel!

(sorry but I don't like using off-PC storage for any personal stuff hence no photo).

I wore a variety of over the years.

Both these were presents to me new. I still have them, ticking away contentedly with a three yearly battery change.

There are several others I've owned and sold, via the forum, in the past few years

The SARG is indeed a handsome piece Neil. Got a little bit of the Explorer going on there.

Crap. Trying to NOT buy this but find myself going back repeatedly to look again... my normal pattern of taking a deep breath and building myself up before taking the plunge. ](*,)
