I'd love an SPB051 and might try the Japanese route to avoid waiting until November. I know from
The "other forum" that people are starting to be hit by HMRC when buying from Creation. Provided you can factor this in, then why should Jura be allowed such a mark up?
I mentioned on another CW thread a week or so ago that Creation are now declaring full or close to full value. So any future Creation orders are unlikely to have a low declaration (cost me £160!).
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

With the current exchange rate, that is quite scary! All the more reason to consider brands closer to home.

Tempted by these and almost pulled the trigger on one/both last night but can't help but feel they are expensive when compared to the sumo.

I can get the bracelet version for 99000 Yen and the rubber (blue face) for 80000 Yen - both incl shipping but excluding customs fees etc.
The case finishing looks very similar to the sumo and it's also fitted with the same movement - bracelet is decent apparently and the watch has anti-reflective domed sapphire instead of the usual hardlex.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

I think they're both very nice. Just wish the blue would be available on steel too. As you say though, can't help feeling that they're a tad too expensive when compared with other Seiko models like the Sumo, as you said. Trouble is, it's finding the comparable models though. They tend to be scarce as they're the outgoing stock.

I'm tempted to buy and keep both, but do a bracelet and strap swap, but would really need to get rid of a couple of others to justify it etc
Always feels like it's russian roulette buying a Seiko due to poor alignment of the chapter ring.

Question is whether these will be on sale in a few months time with grey dealers for £400, but I guess that's always the risk!
