I take it you don't mean "black pending new hands" when we might reconsider? You do mean "black, and probably even more so with mercedes hands"?

Really looking forward to receiving the double-dome crystal with red AR on the underside: that will make a big impact and I just hope that I like it.

So far I'm on for the new black bezel insert and out goes the popsi. Thank you survey participants.

Thanks guys. Black wins and as the double-domed crystal has just arrived it'll all be going off for a makeover.
What, you'd like to see the crystal before it's fitted? Here goes then.
Don't forget the hands will change too!

Should be an easy job for them but some of those vintage relume's in the gallery should not have been done to those watches

I have a 009 - so the Pepsi - but it's about to get a pretty heavy makeover broadly in the direction of the Spectre Omega...waiting for Yobokies to get the 0-11 bezel inserts (hopefully this week)

I think the question of reluming a vintage piece is quite personal and watch-specific which tells you I'm not one of those dogmatic "never restore the dial" people. I decided to have my Sturmanskaya relumed to give the old Soviet a second life: it is now my bedside timekeeper.
