in general, i really like this. dial, bezel, hands, in particular. it's a little different without going overboard.

but it falls apart for me with the left handed crown and the non-standard lugs.

Being a leftie, I like the crown. I do not like the non-standard lugs though.

Yep I looked at this and thought why is the crown over there, if it was in the normal position I would very much like the Oris. Incidentally why is the crown over there? Is it something to do with the movement or just to be different? It actually ruins the watch for me!

Purely conjecture - but it may be to protect the hand from the crown. If warm water diving (no gloves, wetsuit, drysuit) sometimes the movement of the hand can cause the crown to 'dig in' to your hand. Bizarrely I have experienced this wearing my tiny SMP Midsize, yet wearing a large Aquatimer the crown causes no damage????

I like that a lot. Btw, although the lugs are non-standard, they do make the bracelet fall in such a way as to be really comfortable for such a large and heavy watch.

i think the bracelet looks good on it, you can't really tell it's nonstandard on the bracelet. but on the rubber, not so much. and you're completely limited in any aftermarket options.

Nice watch. The leftie crown looks a bit "for the sake of being different" to me, but overall I doubt it would put me off...

i think i could live w/the left crown, as well. i *do* actually tend to wear my watch on the right wrist when i dive (with my dive comp on the left wrist), so maybe there's something to it.

but the lugs.

i do like the face/hands/bezel, though. and i like the very tasteful and subtle addition of the deep red.

which shouldn't be surprising, considering i'm wearing this today.
