Re: Orient with the Orange bezel
Congratulations Kevin. Looks to be in stunning condition. I've a real soft spot for these Orients, my Mako's are great timekeepers too.

Yep, that is a smart looking watch. Like teestech I do like the Makos and Orient in general. Very nice.

Have to say I do love the look of that watch. Are these readily available in the UK?

You'd usually have to get one shipped over. The white dialled version is currently available via Creation Watches at a very reasonable price.Gherky wrote:Have to say I do love the look of that watch. Are these readily available in the UK?

Congratulations and welcome to the club! My Mako is quickly becoming one of my favorites. It gets lots of compliments and keeps very good time.

Re: Orient with the Orange bezel
I am thinking about getting a mako to hold me off from a larger purchase. Do they dress up for work ok?

Re: Orient with the Orange bezel
This is actually my 3rd Orient also have the Mako Pepsi which is a tad smaller at 42mm and also a world traveller, so 3 very different watches.
They look fine with a shirt especially as the latest orange bezel version looks very similar to the Omega version so looks very smart.

I have two Makos, and Orange and Blue version and wear them for work sometimes. They dress up no problem with the orange one attracting the most complements
I would say go for it they are a fantastic watch for the price!

Re: Orient with the Orange bezel
Here's mine (not the xl version I have girly wrists)
Apologies for the quality of the pics.
I wanted to try it with a leather strap so picked up this one in the current cw sale. It will be going back on bracelet soon as I am taking it on holiday. I do have the sneaking suspicion that putting a diver on a leather strap is a social faux pas in 'proper' diving and watch circles.
If it helps your decision at all I am really happy with mine and wear it most days.

Go for it, you won't be disappointed. I'm currently in a 'not-buying' phase due to saving for a big purchase, but I might just add another Orient to the box to keep myself entertained in the meantime.Ryanb wrote:I am thinking about getting a mako to hold me off from a larger purchase.
