Re: Opinions on Omega Seamaster, please
I saw a Planet Ocean in the flesh some time ago.
The single property that blew me away completely on this watch was the blackness of the dial. The dial was so friggin' black that, as soon as a wearer of this watch would push up his sleeve to look at the watch, the blackness of the dial would absorb light to the point where the entire room suddenly gets noticeably darker).
The hour markers simply seemed to "float on the surface of a pool of light-absorbing oil".
Gawd, that dial is black. I have no idea which Laws of Nature Omega had to corrupt to get their dial this black...

Man with one watch, always know time. Man with many watches, never sure.

I own the Seamaster LE Bond with the Co Axial movement and think it is a lovely watch. Would take Omega over Rolex anytime, but that is just my opinion

If you want to post a photo, first make sure the photo is uploaded somewhere on the internet. Then you can post it here by pasting the URL to the picture in your post and putting img-tags around the picture.
For example, I uploaded the macro-photo of my Seamaster to the internet, this is the URL:
http://www.rapidpicture.com/albums/user ... 02/at5.jpg
Now I put the img-tags around the url like this:
And the result will be:

Re: Opinions on Omega Seamaster, please
Hans, I love that particular shot of your latest aquistion!
Thanks on the posting info as well. My first attempts to various forums, including here, were a bit hit and miss.
How about a thread on tips for photographing one's watches (especially with fairly basic digital cameras). Technical & Ethestics?, Do's and Don'ts etc.? I am a self confessed rookie with this particular genre of photography and would hate to let the forum down!
Anyone interested?

Hans pictures are very good.Think he should give the person who does CWs site pictures some tips, the photos there don't do the watches any justice at all IMO.

And I agree with you. I just had my Auto SMP300 returned from service. Had to wait 10 weeks due to summer holidays and remodelling of their lab, but well worth the wait as I had asked them to refinish it (6+ years of wear & tear); Came back good enough to put in a shop window as new. . I was amazed at the job they did!
