There are an awful lot of very plausible looking fakes out there, that can easily withstand not much more than a casual glance by even the most observant. Only under close scrutiny do fakes become apparent.
I've been looking at some Longines on eBay and the amount of fakes and the quality is alarming.
Real or fake?

There must be a few of us who have worn watches not associated with a job...

I wore my Bremont when I was a white van man doing multi drop parcel delivery earning minimum wage. Not sure about the watch but I was tested beyond endurance. It is a surprisingly high pressure job.

Pass re the Longines. The first one maybe fake but the seller has reasonable feedback so maybe neither.

I agree there are a lot of good fakes out there. The young girl on the door of the kitchen shop I visited a few weeks ago was wearing a sub date - either she's got a wealthy family/boyfriend or another one of the fakes kicking around. :problem:

I am mixing goop in my employer's factory in South Korea today. Timing the batch with my BB36, so it might be a bit off as it's not a chronometer...

It's strange how many of us, as been said before, fall into the trap of assumptions.

Perhaps if we struck up a conversation, those assumptions would change ?

I hope that these days, I do not make assumptions.

A quick example......whilst in the UK in May I visited a small antique / jewellery shop tucked away in an alley..
Upon entering the shop, I was greeted by a young lady wearing an original stunning Pepsi dial Rolex GMT.
When chatting and showing an interest, it turned out that she was the owners daughter, one of her hobbies was ......watches. In addition this young lady had been searching for this watch, in this condition for some time, and had only recently secured it.

It is a shame many of us make assumptions......... :(
