The latest one was never an option (and not because of money) because it doesn't have the wavey dial anymore. Just doesn't look right at all.

Still undecided as to whether I prefer the older style with printed logo and no red lettering or this newer style with red and applied indices...

Think I like the red... or not  What I need to do is get another mid size with red and another fullsize without just so I've got the full set - or is that Kip getting my meds wrong again?

Looks like I missed an interesting evening on the forum - I was out celebrating BBC Day (Bye-Bye Children! 8) )

I, too, like Omegas, but of a slightly different style!

Anyway, Congratulations once again, you never cease to amaze us! :D

I never cease to amaze myself mate  Lorn has utterly given up being amazed and now just shakes her head in dismay :? I'm seriously OCD and obsessive and once I decide I "need" something, I will not relax until I've got it! At least this time I did wait until one turned up pre-loved (had a message from the seller last night asking for 1st refusal should I sell it) rather than just going to Goldsmiths again...

But, got to slow down a bit on the old coleecting lark as the amount I've spent is truly shocking and as has been pointed out several times :"You've only got one wrist" which, whilst being factually incorrect, I do echo the sentiment to an extent! I have taken to doing a "Village" as a matter of course and wear a vintage piece on my right wrist constantly. If anyone asks, I'm doing a timekeeping check

Nice one, XT. Is yours an auto or quartz?

I've nearly bought one of these several times. In fact I was only thinking the other day that I really should do it. It would mean selling a few of my other pieces, but I think I could live with that.

Both of ours are quartz. I honestly prefer them as the auto has an extra line of text below the hands that clutters the job up in my opinion. Plus, there are no fakes of the quartz and billions of the auto (which worries me loads). Plus of course, they are cheaper and more accurate and can sit in the box quietly, just waiting to be re-united with your wrist still eager to tell you the correct time - none of this going to sleep and resting lark.

Hard working are the old quartz watches 8)

I'm soooo tempted to write the next chapter in the story which Xt/FG narrates in his opening post........
It could have a happy ending (as its Christmastime) or a sad ending.

I'll give it a little more thought :)

Hey, without all the BS, very nice watches. The Omega Seamaster is likely my first ultimate dream watch.
