Given that the new watch costs more, and doesn't come with the megabox (although @downer has a gigabox that puts the megabox to shame), I think the recently lapsed model is likely to go up, or at least retain it's value, rather than go down.
I know speedys aren't quite Rolex or PP, but their watches go up when they are discontinued, and speedys are generally a desirable watch. Maybe AD's will have to release them somehow though. I doubt an individual AD will have a vast number of them in the safe.

Seeing on the Canadian watch forum that prices of the previous two Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch Hesalite have had a nice lift in the pre-owned market
