I had 'almost' settled on the idea of not going through with my reservation for a Steinhart Grand Prix LE. Then (minus the titanium bracelet shots) they go and release these fully assembled prototype photos and low res video:
So...£750 for a 7750......and it is a nice looking watch.
Tell you what,if i were you Redd i would buy it otherwise you will just kick yourself. Then, after you've had it about 3 months or so give me a shout and i'll buy it of you....course depreciation will kick in big time
If you can read this you are too close to your computer screen....
Shame as interesting looking watch. I like the way they have done the 2 chrono sub dials black and left the seconds sub dial white to give it an IWC look but the day and date should have been white as well for better symmetry.
Only 150 pieces and that is a good price for a 7750 never mind and LE. And
Screwed link titanium bracelet
2nd Stainless steel case back with special engraving
2nd strap: Black leather racing style strap with orange stitching, 22 x 22 mm
3rd strap: White natural rubber strap with orange stitching, 22 x 22 mm
Screw-in titanium buckle, OEM-style, 22 mm
with that lot a bargain.

A very nice looking watch, albeit the day date would look better white, and just for criticism sake and being utterly anal, would prefer a more metallic white (if there's such a thing), pearly maybe. Would I buy it, of course I would
Have to agree that that looks very lovely indeed. I suppose the only question to consider is what else the money would be doing if not spent on this watch? Resale likely to be high I would have thought if that would sway you.

Apologies for repeating this thread. I've never been so undecided, but then again I've never had such a long time to think about it. I'm sure more than one of you has changed their mind many times waiting on CWL or other LE's
Price was my main concern but in effect its now nearly £100 cheaper than when I reserved it - still a lot for me, but doable.
A year of flipping has helped define my taste in watches. I was a Breitling Chrono fan less that 18 months ago and started collecting with A CWL C70. 20 odd watches later (only 2 chronos) and I now realise I like clean design divers as a general rule.
I've liked the design of the GP from day one and I'm pretty sure the real thing with have black day/date, in German, on a white background along with a few other tweaks. This, Rich's Sinn and jmarchitect's Fortis Chronos are the nicest I've seen in a year of watch watching and 'if' I am going to have a Chrono it will be the GP or a used B42 due to budget.
I'll probably get it tbh, unless someone puts a Yellow Orient Start 300m Saturation Diver or Dievas Focal for sale at the same time. That would be cruel.
Bad google translation on what changes there will be:
"A few notes in advance ...
- Tages-/Datumsscheibe are still black - of course we get the white!
- Totalizers will be discussed such as (semi gloss) black in color
- Work / rotor still are not the originals (located on the last picture next to loose)"
What do the top two mean? I'm guessing first is day/date.
