Cant go wrong with the Mako, I'd argue its possibly the best watch you can buy in the ~£100 category.

The end links on the bracelet are hopeless, and the bezel doesn't turn but other than that its perfect for what it is.

Hi Liam ?

Yes i have seen coments about the bracelet end links being less than great think i would still prefer the bracelet model though from pics i've seen
As for the Bezel being hard to move i think a chap on WUS or another Forum has done a pictorial on how to lubricate the O ring and alter the retaining ring lug angle that seems to cause the resistance
Mind you not sure if i'm brave or good enough to follow it
I have a pal who works in a small jewellers locally who will likely do this if needed for a couple of quid :)
It seems these two issues are the main worries for Mako owners whereas the watch itself and movement seems to garner a lot of praise especially at its price point

RichT[/quote]i don't dive with it, so the bezel not moving hasn't been a problem for me, but I've had the watch about two and a half years, and had to have new spring bars put in and the bracelet reattached at least a dozen times, without exaggeration. The watch is just to heavy for the flimsy end links.

That aside though you won't get better for the money, the accuracy and look of the watch is great.

If your planning on being active with it I'd recommend a different bracelet but at £80 or £90 or whatever they are now I'd recommend it in a heartbeat

Thanks for the info

The bracelet issues you've experienced are a little disconcerting
Perhaps there are other bracelets that could be adapted or stronger spring bars might help ?

Not really sure but either way i aim to try a Mako just for the other good reasons you mentioned

Yeah don't let it put you off buying one, I just wouldn't be throwing it about because it could fall apart and you might lose it.

I've enquired about stronger spring bars but no use, you'd need a new bracelet which wouldn't be too much of a problem as its a pretty standard oyster style one that comes with it.
