There was just an article in Fratello about the Hammy Team Earth and how it was partially the genesis for the Murph for the film.

Wittnauer ca. 1975, ETA 2873 movement. 36mm dia. Belonged to my grandfather. I just love this watch. Keeps pretty good time (I did have it serviced, $$$).

I was intrigued by the consistently well regarded Wise casework and wanted to see if it was as good as the reviews imply. Also, didn't have a pilot style watch in the collection, so this arrived today, Wise Flyboy Type B. The casework polishing is indeed immaculate, as are all the other details. I probably should have cleaned the fingerprints off before taking the photos!
